If you need to be away from work to attend to anything important to you, you should because 'it is' important to you, and you should give undivided attention to that need. Inform your leader in time if your absence is going to impact others and ensure smooth sailing in your absence.
Wooqer is made of its people, people who believe in 'in-person collaboration' and in giving it our best while we are at work. We believe in returning to our loved ones after a fulfilling day of hard work; to maintain this distinction, we do not work from home. Hence, we do not have a work-from-home policy.
Time management and prioritization are inherent qualities among our team members. We trust our team members to harmonize their professional and personal lives. We encourage our team to explore, maintain physical fitness, adopt healthy eating habits, enjoy leisure activities, and devote quality time to their loved ones.
We bring in everyday 'healthy' lunches for the entire team to sit together, catch up on what's happening in our lives, meet new people, and save time on deciding what to eat to finish our work faster and get to other things that matter to us, too. Most of us are foodies and explorers. Potluck is a massive event at Wooqer that we all look forward to.
We give our people Something to Look Forward to every fortnight, from cricket matches to hackathons and chess tournaments to dance challenges. We use fun as another means to bond with our team members. Bonding over fun and group challenges fosters camaraderie and enhances teamwork.
We celebrate wins across all teams by ringing "The Bell!" It's a tradition that has lived as long as Wooqer, where everyone comes around the bell to recognize wins and motivate achievers. After the bell, the achiever shares a short story about their win & what they have learned. This allows cross-teams to understand the work of other teams.

Operating Guidelines At Wooqer
- We ensure 75% of our time for deep work. It's OK to say no to anything that violates this.
- We keep meetings short (10 mins is also fine), focused & outcome-oriented. Share agendas beforehand and expect attendees to come prepared.
- We hire right. Find the right people to propel you and your team forward. Choose people who fit the bill with Wooqer's Values and Way of Life.
- We conduct detailed documented Root Cause Analysis when anything goes differently than expected. Learn from it and fine-tune it.
- We keep everyday promises internally and externally. If something was to be done today, it should be done today.
- We create systems for everything and focus on the right inputs. Outcomes shall follow.
