Diwali 2025 Windows: Findings from 150+ Retail Brands

A preview of the Wooqer.ai Diwali Window VM Assessment Report 2025.

A Diwali window should make shoppers stop, notice a product and want to walk in.

In 2025, many windows looked neat. Far fewer felt festive or told a story. The Wooqer.ai Diwali Window VM Assessment Report 2025 looks at what was missing.

What we assessed

We reviewed window photos from 150+ brands across seven retail categories, mostly in Bengaluru. The sample included Indian and international brands.

We looked at execution, festive cues, lighting, product focus and how clearly each window communicated the brand.

Wooqer.ai's assessment model used criteria tailored to each category. The framework was developed with Anuraag S, founder of Pencil Box Designs.

The model's ratings and feedback were reviewed and edited for the report.

What the windows missed

Two gaps stood out in the assessed sample:

48%

of brands showed no Diwali adaptation in their windows.

60%

had no strong emotional story in their windows.

A window could be tidy and still feel like any other week. Accessories windows often missed an obvious gifting opportunity. In other categories, the hero product or occasion was hard to spot.

Before the 2026 changeover, ask: What will a shopper notice first, and why would they come inside?
